The artwork is inspired by fashion, modern decadence, and new technologies. The main figure of the painting, a cyborg girl, is open minded and unconstrained by social boundaries. Through this character, the artist brings up the themes of feminism, bullying, sexism, ageism, and social inequality. Everything that Julia has experienced in her life, from being raised in a dying Siberian town, to how she formed a successful career as a worldwide street artist and winning Worldwide Excellence Award resonate in her artwork.
According to the artist, the main cyborg figure embodies the transitional stage between the present world and the future universe. Therefore, its complex aesthetic consist of a mixture of academic features of painting and elements of futurism.
